Well, the baby decided to come early then planned. I guess he is sticking with the "unplanned" theme. Although the labor was hard, I have adjusted a lot easier than I thought. I guess that's why babies sleep so much in the beginning. The kids have adjusted pretty well too. Ryder and Brock have to hold and kiss him first thing in the morning and last thing before they go to sleep. It is so adorable. Luke is sweet with him too, I just have to make sure that he thinks he is getting more attention then the baby. The baby is doing well, he slept through the night last night. I think it was a fluke but I am going to do the same thing tonight and see if he will do it again. That would be awesome. My mom left on friday so I am really depressed. I did go to the scrapbook expo on Saturday, but was unable to stay the amount of time wanted. Oh well, I had fun.

Well, summer is coming to a close. We had a great summer. Some of the highlights were "Steel Days" in American Fork, California, and then to finish off the summer we went to Lagoon. It's so sad to see it end but I guess it's now the next chapter in the day and the life.

This has been an eventful month already. Ryder went back to school and Brock started kindergarten. (It's a miracle!) I've met both of their teachers and I love Ryders teacher, she seems like she will be really good for him. Brocks teacher seems nice too, I just wish she was a little more outgoing. So far it's been great, the boys haven't complained about going to school and seem to be happy with their teachers.

Ryder has stared up soccer again and of course loves it. He has his first flag football practice tomorrow and he is so excited. He has never played organized football and has bugged us for the last couple of years to play. His games start in a week or so, so if anyone wants to come and watch give me a call.

Brock is still up to the same mischief, climbing anything and everything, showing off and doing the splits.

Luke is going to be turning 2 on the 16th and I decided to have a "Yo Gabba Gabba" party. I am going to try to make a "D.J Lance Rock" cake and do some iron-ons on t-shirts. I know he is going to love it! Jason picked out some toys for him online that we can't wait to give to him.

The new baby is coming on the 17th, which is in a little over a week (yes, I am HUGE). I am prepared physically to have the baby but not mentally. Everything is ready for him except for his name. We still don't know what it is but hope to have it picked before he comes. Everyone is welcome to email me with their ideas. Please no names that start with "T". Ha Ha

Well, football season is underway and Jason is glued to the T.V. as usual, I guess I am too. There has been some soccer in the mix too. I love this time of year even though winter is right around the corner (and you all know how much I hate winter). Well, PEACE OUT! (Go McCain!)

a dAY iN tHE lIFE oF a tENNEY

A lot has happened since i last updated the blog. First, we found out that we are having another boy, which we are pretty excited about just because we know how to do boys. Girls are a mystery for us and to tell you the truth i don't think she could survive with a brother like Brock. Anyway, this will be for sure the last one. i know i said that last time but this time is going to be different. My attitude has changed a lot too, i'm no longer sad or in denial, i'm just ready to be done.
Jason and I had the opportunity to go on a free vacation with our good friends Jake and Aubrey Toombs. Let me tell you, it was AWESOME! We went to California to see the 2nd Jazz/Laker Playoff game, which the Jazz lost. It was still a BLAST! We did wear the Jazz garb and got heckled the whole night, and during the game, with one guy wanting to fight me. Who the heck knows why he singled me out. Oh well. We also went to Universal, D-Land, and the Santa Monica Pier, which by the way is a waste of time because all the rides are gone for some reason. But we had fun with no KIDS! It was a great "get away."
The kids by the way are doing great. Brock graduated from preschool last Thursday and is now more bored than ever. He is so ready to go to school it is ridiculous. He tries to stay busy by bugging me all day about playing with friends. It will be nice when Ryder is out so that they can play together.
Ryder gets out of school on the 1st of July, finally. Thank goodness for year round i don't know what we would do. ("In case you didn't know i was being sarcastic.") He has been very busy now riding his mini-quad, which is a small 4-wheeler. He saved up his money and with a little help from Mom and Dad, he bought it last week. Yes, i was the one who had to put it together. He loves it of course, and has ridden it everyday since, except for Sunday.
Luke is still a busy bee. He goes and goes and goes all day long. He loves to go outside, so we fenced our yard so that he could go outside and play and not take off, but now he likes to go in the front. i guess we need to fence off the front yard. To add to that, he can open all the doors, unless they are dead bolted. Yeah, tons of fun. He is talking a lot and still loves to sing.
We are going to take our usual trip to California at the end of July on the 24th i think. i am excited as usual, because i love to see my family and so do my kids, Jason on the other hand. Just kidding, he loves it too. Until next time. C-Ya!

A day in the life of a Tenney

The Tenney life is the same old thing.

Ryder is playing two sports, Baseball and Soccer. He loves baseball so much and it is really fun to watch him play. He is first in the batting order and he usually plays 2ND base or center field. He always gets on base but it is frustrating sometimes when he doesn't swing. Soccer on the other hand is very natural for him. His 2ND game he got there 15 minutes late the score was 1-1 and he scored within the first 2 minutes he was in. Their team ended up winning 4-1.
Brock is playing soccer and Jason is the coach. (Yes, three sports is ridiculously hard to keep up with.) Brock, surprisingly enough scored the first goal of the season. A teammate of his had a breakaway and dribbled it all the way and Brock kicked it at the last second. Funny I know, but the same thing happened later except Brock dribbled it all the way and another teammate kicked it at the last minute. It could have been a fluke game, but I guess time will tell. I really hope he likes soccer and has a fun time.
Luke is not playing a sport obviously but loves anything to do with balls. Soccer, basketball, and baseball if it is a ball he is all over it. He LOVES to go outside and jump on the tramp, shoot hoops, go to nursery (yes, I know we are surprised too since he is such a mommas boy. Who wouldn't be with such a awesome mom.) Thank goodness we are putting a fence in next week so we can just let him out. He is really into trying stuff on too, shoes, necklaces, hats, underwear (on head) whatever he can get his hands on. He is at a great age.
Jamie is getting bigger and bigger by the second :( But is coming to grips that she is really in fact pregnant. She can find out what it is, even though she knows it's a boy, on May 13th, if she decides to even find out. And no it's not twins!
Jason is still working and playing ball and hoping to sign up for summer co-ed soccer. He is also enjoying the NBA playoffs, not only the Jazz but the Cleveland and Washington match up with L. James and D. Stevenson.
Well, all is well with us we hope all is well with your fam.

Thursday, March 6, 2008

Well, I know that it's been a while since I've updated so here goes.
For those of you who know or don't know, I am due on September 24th. Yes, that is correct, Jason and I were surprise last month to find out that I am "prego" again. Luke and this one will be two years exactly. How fun! In case you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic. Anyway, I guess we, well me because Jason is excited, are happy. It took me about a week to be okay with it and stop crying and now I am in the shock stage so what's next? Denial? I don't know. Oh well, I just have to get over myself.
More importantly, Ryder will be getting baptised at the end of this month Saturday the 29th at 11:00
We are so excited for this first big step in his life. He is getting so mature already. We hope to see everyone there to celebrate with us and Ryder! I will be sending out invites with the address to the building and besure to plan on lunch afterwards. Hope to see you all there!
